The Speightstown filly THAT'S HOW I ROLL was always very special. The dark bay miss sold for $160,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling sale. Her value grew when she went through the Fasig-Tipton Florida Select 2-year-old sale, bringing $235,000.
THAT'S HOW I ROLL added black-type to the catalog page when in her first eight starts she hit the board five times. She made her juvenile debut in a Belmont Park maiden special weight that May, finishing third, and became a winner over Big Sandy in her next start, taking a five and a half-furlong maiden special by three lengths. In her first trip to Monmouth Park, she ran second in the Junior Champion S.
She then kicked of the 2010 season with a front-running victory in the Maryland Filly Championship at Laurel Park. Her next effort resulted in a close second-place finish in the Wide Country S.
THAT'S HOW I ROLL retired with earnings of nearly $100,000. She is one of three stakes horses from the first three foals out of her dam, former Dark Hollow Farm matron Chatter Chatter.
