A Grade 1 winner in his third start, HOMEBOYKRIS captured one of racing’s most prestigious juvenile tests, Belmont Park’s time-honored Champagne S.-G1. The gelded son of Roman Ruler proved himself one of the leaders of his crop with his one and a half-length score under leading rider Edgar Prado. He was named Maryland-bred champion 2-year-old male of 2009.

HOMEBOYKRIS had an extensive career, making starts at nearly a dozen different tracks and winning from Calder to Delaware Park, Churchill to Belmont Park over eight seasons. He won 14 times, placed in another 15 and earned $567,389 from 63 starts.
