Owned and campaigned by Sylvia and the late Arnold Heft, EIGHTTOFASTTOCATCH retired as a millionaire when capturing his fourth running of the Jennings H. in December 2014. The final year of his career was magical as in one of his three starts he also became the first horse to win three runnings of the Maryland Million Classic. The handsome chestnut son of Not For Love retired with a dozen stakes wins, 17 wins all together, and earnings of $1,072,970 while racing through age 8. His five stakes placings included a second in the historic Pimlico Special-G3. In 2011, EIGHTTOFASTTOCATCH became the second Dark Hollow Farm-bred to win a Maryland Million Classic, joining PLAY BINGO. Bred by Dark Hollow Farm and Graham and Anita Motion’s Herringswell Stables, EIGHTTOFASTTOCATCH is out of Dark Hollow Farm’s pensioned mare TOOFASTTOCATCH (by Nice Catch) and is a half-brother to stakes winner and Gr. 1-placed STORM PUNCH, stakes winner BAYONNE and nine other winners, who combined have earned in excess of $1.7 million.
